Our vision is to see those who have slipped through the cracks of our society restored and transformed by the love of Jesus – those struggling with addiction and homelessness, those who may be HIV+ and/or suffering other physical or mental health issues.
What We Offer
Through the ministry of the ARK, the Word for Life Trust is reaching out to the lost, broken and rejected. Sharing God’s love in action with those affected by drug addiction, mental illness and abuse, we are witnessing lives changed, inspired by the hope found in Jesus, that in Him there is “freedom to the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1).
FAMILY
By being Jesus to those who have lost their way, broken in spirit and rejected by their families and society the ARK offers a loving Christian family to which they can belong to, live with and then grow in.
DISCIPLESHIP
Our aim is that they become disciples of Jesus, strong and committed in their Christian faith. When ready, we assist them to return to their families as productive members of the community once again and as an inspiration and encouragement to others suffering in the town.
REHABILITATION
Through an 18 month residential commitment the ARK is a place where the hopeless and neglected can find freedom from their past self-destructive lifestyles and find healing & purpose for their lives.
TRANSFORMATION
Isaiah 61 is our theme Scripture for the ARK, “to proclaim good news to the poor, bind up the broken-hearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners”. Our mission is the rebuilding, renewing and restoring of broken, ruined, devastated lives.
